COLLECTION OF PHOENICIAN EYE GLASS BEADS.
Ca. 600 - 200 BC A collection of five rod-formed glass eye beads, including, from left to right: a yellow annular bead decorated with spiral eyes in white and brown; a cobalt blue bead with a white trail forming striated eyes; a bead of opaque white glass with dark blue bosses; a cobalt-blue bead with protruding eyes; and a globular bead of opaque black glass with white trails forming eye motifs. Size: 7.6-18mm x 9.7-22mm; Weight: 20.6g. Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s; Reputedly from the Dr. Nolte collection, acquired in the early to mid 20th Century AD.
