COLLECTION OF PHOENICIAN MOSAIC GLASS BEADS.
Ca. 600 - 200 BC A collection of glass mosaic beads, including globular, biconical and tubular forms in opaque and translucent glass, each decorated with millefiori compositions, marvered spirals, eye motifs, chequerboard and floral patterns in combinations of yellow, red, white, blue, green and black. Size: 5-23mm x 6-9.7mm; Weight: 76.8g. Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s; Reputedly from the Dr. Nolte collection, acquired in the early to mid 20th Century AD.
