NECKLACE AND PENDANT IN GOLD, GARNET AND SAPPHIRE
Roman art, circa 3rd-4th century AD
Beautiful braided gold chain ending in two tubular elements decorated in filigree and inlaid with pear-shaped garnet cabochons, attaching two openwork rouelles forming a clasp. The longitudinally pierced double-conical pendant is elegantly decorated with granulation and pear-shaped garnet and sapphire cabochons.
