COMMODE
Louis XV, Paris, ca. 1760. Signed Lardin (André-Antoine Lardin, master craftsman from 1750) and with the Paris guild mark JME.
Tulipwood, amaranth and other woods, partly stained and hot-sand shaded. Trapezoidal, three-sided curved body on a cut-out frame and curved legs. Bronze sabots. Front with two curved drawers sans traverse, richly inlaid with a central musical instrument medallion, flanked by two reserves with blossoming branches. The sides are inlaid in a similar manner. Gilt bronze fittings. “Brêche d'Alep” marble top.
130 × 63 × 85 cm.
In good restored condition.
