Bedside table bean-shaped Italy, 20th century 84 x 60 x 40 cm Louis XVI style bedside table. Made of walnut and bois de rose wood with precious wood veneer arranged in a herringbone pattern on the sides and with threaded panels on the front. The cabinet has a slightly convex structure with three drawers on the front, each with finely worked gilt bronze handles and spouts, and a shaped apron with central ornamental appliqué. The recessed polychrome marble top is surrounded by a pierced bronze gallery that lends elegance and storage function. The legs are slender, tapering and slightly wavy, in keeping with the neoclassical taste. The lots covered by this auction are located in a private home in Rome.
