A Regence giltwood console, in the taste of François Roumier This console was inspired by the engravings by the King's sculptor, François Roumier (1701-1748), in his famous collection "Livre de plusieurs Desseins de pieds de Tables en Console". The book contains a large number of engravings with similarities to the general composition of our console table, in particular the mascaron and dolphins on the rear upright and the espagnolettes at the top of the front uprights.
