First edition illustrated with an etched self-portrait by Tristan Corbière as a frontispiece. This collection is recognised as the first milestone marking modernity in poetry: "breaking, concise, scathing verse with a whip" (Jules Laforgue, Une étude sur Tristan Corbière).
