A fine edition that Voltaire had printed by the Cramer brothers in Geneva, accompanied by commentaries. It is illustrated with a frontispiece by Pierre engraved by Watelet representing the Genie crowning the bust of Corneille (accompanied here by a second state engraved by Elizabeth Thiebaut) and 34 figures by Gravelot engraved by Baquoy, Flipart, Lemire, Lempereur, de Lorgueil, Prévost & Radigues, 16 of which in 2 or even 3 states.
