NOTE
These ceramics, with their typically local motifs, are easily distinguishable from the ceramics produced in the rest of the Abbasid Empire to which Nishapur belonged. Nishapur ceramics are easily distinguished by their vivid, often figurative designs and the use of a bright mustard-yellow lead stannate pigment.
