Troop tip helmet cover. Pickelhaube Uberzug in feldgrau canvas, with fixed tip cover, held in place by 5 ribbons of mottled feldgrau fabric. The inside of the tip cover is reinforced with a tan leather cone. Helmet cover fitted with 3 front hooks and 2 rear hooks. Hanover workshop ink stamp and size 61 stamp. Buttonhole opening for air vent. Two hand-drilled holes for chinstrap. A few minor stains otherwise very good condition. Enlisted Man's Pickelhaube Cover Field-grey canvas Pickelhaube Überzug with fixed spike cover, secured by five woven straps. Interior reinforced at the spike by a tan leather cone. Fitted with three front hooks and two rear. Ink stamp from the Hanover workshop and size marking "61." Buttonhole opening for the vent stud. Two small hand-punched holes for chinstrap passage. Minor stains, otherwise very fine condition.
