CYPRIOT IMPASTO VOTIVE VESSEL IN THE FORM OF A BOAT Ca. 800 – 600 BC. A votive vessel in dark brown impasto, in the form of a stylised boat, with an elongated oval body set on three short, angular legs and tapering at both ends into pointed projections with shallow central grooves. The outer surface is decorated with incised geometric motifs, including bands of zig zags, nested triangles, and parallel lines on the legs. A perforation is present at one end. The interior is smooth and undecorated. Size: 185mm x 70mm; Weight: 145g Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the Swiss art market; Ex.
