CYPRIOT POTTERY BUST Ca. 650 - 480 BC. A beautiful example of archaic Greek statuary. The bust is buff colour formed of terracotta, originally from a figure depicting a broad chested male holding his left arm to his chest. Wearing a pointed, brimmed pilos helmet and large disc earrings, his hair falling forward over each shoulder, with horizontal bands and falling in ringlets below, with a moulded bust, one arm hanging by side.
