There is approximately 5mm of play in the hilt. The pommel is stamped with the letters WD and the Broad Arrow. Second World War brown leather scabbard, still with its 4 leather tabs, its original elastic band repaired on the right side, its bolt held by a staple. The letters WD are stamped on the front of the scabbard. British SAS dagger, 3rd pattern. Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife with moulded grip of 28 ribs retaining anti-reflective finish. Double-edged blade with original factory bluing, tip lightly pitted. Slight movement of approximately 5 mm at guard. Pommel stamped WD with broad arrow. Brown wartime leather scabbard retaining four leather tabs, original elastic repaired on right side, chape secured by staple, front stamped WD. Showing some wear and patina. Condition II+.
