Of Austrian origin, Daniel Seiter trained in Venice with Johann Carl Loth. In Rome between 1680 and 1688, Seiter worked in Carlo Maratta's studio and then for the Royal Court of Turin. Greatly influenced by Venetian and Roman art, Daniel Seiter produced numerous altar paintings.
