Transcription of a law of the National Assembly of 19 August 1792: "... The soldiers formerly forming part of the companies of the centre of the Parisian National Guard arrested with the Champs-Élysées in January 1790 and dismissed on April 1 following, will enjoy the advantages which must ensure them their time of service, and will be able, by being arranged under the flags of Freedom and Equality, to reach all the military ranks and jobs, like the other soldiers of the companies of the centre, to which one had delivered cartridges without they had asked for them...".
