Dimensions 18.5 x 18 x 8 cm (Worn) Based on the original in the Louvre Museum, exhibited at the 1817 Salon under number 805 (plaster model at the 1802 Salon, number 409). Acquired from the sculptor's widow by the Ministère de la Maison du roi, and placed in the Grand Trianon in Versailles on 20 June 1817. Entered the Louvre in 1847.
