Based on Leiji MATSUMOTO (1938 - 2023) Albator / Captain Harlock,1978- Toei studio Sericel with gouache background of Albator in close-up. Behind Albator / Harlock is his bird. This bird appears for the first time in the Captain Albator manga. Often on his shoulder, this bird has been following his adventures for a long time. Although stylised, its long beak indicates that it is probably a cormorant, and not a raven as is sometimes claimed.
