DAUNIAN BICHROME ASKOS WITH GEOMETRIC MOTIFS.
Ca. 550 - 500 BC.
A bichrome pottery askos with a rounded body that tapers towards a slightly flattened base. The vessel has a prominent cylindrical spout extending vertically from the shoulder, encircled by painted bands and geometric motifs. A broad, arching handle connects the spout to a protrusion at the back. The main body is decorated with linear and curvilinear patterns in dark brown and reddish hues against a light beige ground.
