DAUNIAN BICHROME JUG WITH GEOMETRIC MOTIFS Ca. 550 - 400 BC. A terracotta jug with a wide, flattened rim and rounded body. The surface is decorated in red and dark brown over a light buff slip, with concentric bands around the neck and body, and panels of fine linear motifs. A high vertical handle rises from the rear, terminating in a bifurcated upper edge with a small central perforation flanked by painted linear decoration and a rectangular panel enclosing a central motif.
