DAUNIAN BICHROME POTTERY OLPE Ca. 550 - 450 BC. A buff-coloured pottery olpe adorned with horizontal bands in dark brown and ochre hues. The central band features a pattern of dark brown dots. The vessel boasts a biconical body with a flat circular base and an outward-flaring rim, complemented by a handle on the side. Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; from a European Collection of Italic native pottery, France, bought in Paris in the 1990s.
