DAUNIAN TERRACOTTA BICHROME KRATER WITH GEOMETRIC DECORATIONS Ca. 550 - 450 BC. A wheel-thrown Daunian krater vessel with a broad, funnel-shaped rim surrounding a wide mouth. The cream-hued vessel is elaborately decorated with black and red bands to create striped, circular, and serpentine motifs. A pair of tab handles and arching strap handles line the midsection of the vessel. For similar see: MET Museum Accession Number: 1970.11.11. Size: 235mm x 215mm; Weight: 1.84kg.
