DAUNIAN TERRACOTTA JUG WITH GEOMETRIC PATTERN. Ca. 550 - 450 BC. A terracotta jug with a rounded body, a wide flaring mouth, and a single vertical handle extending from the rim to the shoulder. The vessel is decorated with geometric patterns in dark pigment over a light ground, encircled by horizontal bands of varying thickness, interspersed with rectangular panels filled with cross hatching and linear motifs.
