David MILLER (1942 - 2008) : Circular ceramic dish with abstract decoration on a black and ochre background. Diam. 36.5 cm. British artist living in the south of France since the 1980s. He worked with low-temperature salt stoneware, which was highly coloured and smoked in the manner of raku, and created his own style of utilitarian objects that were diverted from their usual function, while recalling the spirit of Mediterranean glazed earthenware.
