Hudoq" bird mask with rhinoceros hornbill beak, gaping dragon mouth and prominent chin. The two wing-shaped ears have wooden tusks at the top.
These masks evoke the bush spirits responsible for purifying the village. The masked 'hudoq' dance, which concludes the rites of the Rice Tradition, is seen by the villagers as a rite of fertility for the earth and all of nature.
