Second edition entirely engraved but without the maps. Binding a little rubbed, corners dulled, split ends, some foxing. Attached is another engraved work: VIGNOLE (Jacques Barozzio, dit). Rules of the five orders of architecture. Paris, Mariette, s.d. (circa 1702). Soft vellum binding, 17 x 11 cm. Entirely engraved edition with a frontispiece and the 50 plates in reduction by Pierre Le Muet (1591-1669) that Jean Mariette (1660-1742) had bought. A copy annotated on the endpapers and in the unprinted parts of several leaves, with technical notes from the period. Slight lack to the spine, traces on the vellum, small lack of paper in an unprinted part of plate 8, other minor defects.
