DELFT. Pair of large covered vases decorated in blue and white with genre scenes in the style of Jean Antoine Watteau. The vases are mounted on two giltwood tripod bases decorated with scalloped laurel garlands with ribbon and acanthus leaf attachments, the lion's paw feet surmounted by a rosette in a rectangular cartouche. Late 18th - early 19th century. Delft, Holland. Vase: H.: 107 cm - Diam.: 58.5 cm each. Legs: H.: 53.5 cm - Diam.: 35.6 cm each.
