Superb collection of 210 plates of views of Paris drawn and engraved in intaglio by Adam Pérelle, Jean Marot, Israël Silvestre, Pierre Lepautre and others, printed with the original copperplates from the collection of P.-J. Mariette, which Jombert owned and sometimes had retouched before withdrawing them. 13 of them include two subjects. Some new plates are devoted to the suburbs of Paris and their main monuments. The title is adorned with a vignette engraved by Magdeleine Horthemels-Cochin. A magnificent copy in contemporary midnight blue morocco, a rare and desirable condition.
