In-4 (30,4 x 21,8 cm), morocco, on the boards decorated with squares delimited by gilt and cold fillets, inside these cold scroll motifs delimiting a frame on the boards, smooth spine decorated with gilt and cold fillets, gilt edges on witnesses (head trimmed), inside frame of morocco and gilt and cold fillets, ochre moiré silk lining and endpapers, covers and spine preserved, folder and case (G. Cretté, successor of Marius Michel). Decorated with 34 coloured woodcuts by Maurice Denis engraved by Jacques, Camille and Georges Beltrand. Limited edition of 175 numbered copies; one of the 15 copies of the first edition with unfinished compositions in the text (no. 2) and containing a suite of the final state of all the woodcuts. A very fine copy with an original signed pencil and watercolour drawing by Maurice Denis depicting a Roman villa in a landscape (round motif, 12 cm in diameter).
