First edition in Greek accompanied by a commentary by Eustathius of Thessalonica on this treatise on ancient geography.
Superb Greek printing by Robert Estienne using the king's Greek engraved by Claude Garamond from the handwriting of Ange Vergèce. The title is adorned with the Estienne mark.
From the library of Charles Abbot (1757-1829), Baron of Colchester, with bookplate to Lincoln's Inn and handwritten inscription dated 1783. Ex-legato of Lord Colchester in the library of the Constitutional Club, 1887, on the second flyleaf.
