Posthumous first edition, published as a tribute to the poetess who had just died - Title ornamented in the Romantic style. The autograph manuscript of the poem L'esclave et l'oiseau (The Slave and the Bird), 1 page in-4, reproduced on p. 30 in the collection, has been affixed at the head of the volume on a blank binding note. A very fine copy.
