The composition is also captioned with a quotation from Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet, calligraphed in a plant frame: "I give oblivion to the past - The present to indifference - And to live free - The future to Providence - So to be happy - May God fulfil my wishes". Framed and under glass (diameter with frame 76cm, with view 63cm - the frame is missing, worn, foxed and discoloured).
