Private, expressively characterising, realistic bust portrait of the high nobleman in three-quarter profile to the left, wearing a light grey, large-checked suit, with a dark grey hat on his head. Oil/hard fibre. R. o. indistinctly signed a. dat. (19)43. Ligature monogr. brand stamp and two wax seals with monogr. "W" verso. 60 cm x 50 cm. Neo-Gothic oak frame with painted monogr. "W" in trefoil.
Botho Fürst zu Stolberg-Wernigerode (1893 - 1989, until 1940 hereditary prince) was the 3rd prince of Stolberg-Wernigerode after Kaiser Wilhelm II granted the princely title to the dynasty in 1890/93.
