TWO PATRONYMIQUE PLATES - Pierre and Julienne Brébant, 1785 Rare white earthenware pendant plates, polychrome decoration representing respectively Saint Pierre and Saint Julien with the respective inscriptions: "Pierre bréban 1785" and "julienne clement epouse de / pierre bréban / 1785". Nevers, second half of the 18th century. Diameter: 22.9 cm (Minor accidents) We have traced the presumed subjects of our plates to Pierre Brébant, who married Julienne Clément in Doué-la-Fontaine (Maine-et-Loire) on 9 May 1757.
