Its publication in Geneva made it possible to correct almost six thousand typographical errors, as well as errors of geography and chronology, which were present in the original folio edition. It contains 2 portraits by Cochin, several folding tables and 465 engraved plates, collected in the three atlas volumes. A good copy in uniform contemporary bindings, from the libraries of Michel Larcher, Marquis d'Arcy (1714-1772), with armorial bookplate dated 1741; and Alphonse-Charles de Brotty (1813-1882), Comte d'Antioche, with bookplate pasted on the former.
