Etching applied to canvas from the last quarter of the 18th century with double title in Latin and Spanish.
Decorated with two hundred and sixty round cameos (the engraving originates in black and white) containing 257 watercoloured (the engraving originates in black and white) portraits of pontiffs, the last four have been left blank.
The first with the profile image looking to the right towards Peter and his successors is that of Our Lord Jesus Christ
The last, before the four white ones, bears the effigy of Pius VI, born Giovanni Angelo Braschi, who was elected Pope in 1775 and died in exile in Valence-sur-Rhône on 29 August 1799.
Remains of gilded frame only at the top and bottom
