Dimensions: 20x25 cm; with frame 32.5x37.5 Majolica signed lower right 'Piermatteo Luca della Robbia Ceramic Company Gualdo Tadino Piermatteo worked at this Umbrian factory from around 1925 to 1930; he is counted among the ranks of artists working in the town's 'Della Robbia' factory of artistic ceramics, especially lustrous The artist contributed to the training of young ceramists in Gualdo, promoting, as a pioneer in this choice together with Alfredo Santarelli, the diffusion of the use of the airbrush as the primary means to give ceramic works verisimilitude and naturalness of nuance, colour and volume. Use of the airbrush is found as a technique in the majolica in question. Embossed walnut frame with ebonised throat and profile. Inscription on the back: To Donna Nardi Primavera, memento of her visit to Umbria 17774/30 -VIII A.
