First edition of the French translation by the academician Jean Terrasson (1670-1750). This copy bears the arms of the Comte de Nully de Grosserve, of Beauvais, who inherited it from the Marquis de Paulmy, one of the most illustrious bibliophiles of the 18th century, whose armorial bookplate is partially covered by that of the Comte de Nully. The copy then belonged to M. Le Caron de Troussures, with a bookplate in Beauvais. An armorial piece is missing from the second volume.
