Fawn morocco, boards decorated with a broad vertical band of 13 bold fillets intersected by a triangular embossed fleuron featuring a nude woman seated in a bed of roses on the first board, and an embossed floral iron on the second board, smooth titled spine, cover and spine preserved, endpapers decorated with a repetitive art-deco motif (René Kieffer). Beautiful deluxe edition, the first illustrated, with 59 full-page stencil-coloured compositions, a wood-engraved frame in bistre on a gold background on each page, offering numerous variations, and engraved initials, by the decorator, illustrator, journalist and art critic André Domin (1883-1962). Edition of 560 copies, one of the 500 numbered copies advertised on vellum, but printed on laid paper. Provenance: Jorge Mitton, attested by his engraved bookplate, pasted on the back cover. A fine copy in the original binding by René Kieffer, the upper spine cracked.
