First edition of this 18th century masterpiece, illustrated by Charles Eisen with a frontispiece, an engraved out-of-text figure, a title finial, 22 vignettes and 22 culs-de-lampe engraved after his drawings, except for two culs-de-lampe by Marillier. The Imitation des auteurs latins, published later, has not been included. A very fine copy in a fine double binding. From the Belsfied library, with bookplate.
