In-4 oblong, bradel green percaline, piece of in the centre of the first plate, cover (Binding of the end of the XIXth century). First edition of this complete suite of 24 lithographs by Gustave Doré, satirically associating the social classes and types of the time with the names of animals, such as peacocks, magpies, rats, vultures and toads. One of the rare coloured copies, complete with cover and free of foxing. From the Bernard-Franck library (1935, no. 288), with bookplate and stamp. Ex-libris MK.
