Léon Auscher (Strasbourg 1866 - Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse 1942) was a French automotive engineer and writer. He played a role in promoting tourism in France and was vice-president of the Touring Club de France. He was one of the promoters of winter sports; in 1905, he created and chaired the syndicat d'initiative in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, where he built a bobsleigh track in 1917.
A superb copy.
Perret, 1377 - Beccatini p. 79 (who gives the date 1931, but the printing is actually dated November 1930).
