Copy no. 69, one of 75 printed on ivory-toned vélin d'Arches paper, with 12 etchings and 5 etched chapter headings by Étienne Drian, all in two states (black and sanguine), plus 4 rejected plates, 2 of which are also in two states. On the front endpaper, an autograph inscription signed by Drian. Bound in red morocco by Jean Lambert: elaborately gilt stylised borders on covers, with a double decorative blue morocco fillet; spine with five raised bands echoing the cover design, gilt edges, inner doublures in garnet leather with straight and dotted fillets and floral cornerpieces; endpapers of bright red moiré silk, all edges gilt; housed in a matching slipcase (slight wear to joints).
