In-4, [14] pages, red morocco, triple gilt fillet, smooth spine decorated with titles throughout, interior lace, gilt edges (M. Godillot). First edition.

Joachim composed this booklet containing three unpublished pieces in verse in anticipation of the marriage of his benefactress, Princess Marguerite de France (1523-1574), Duchess of Berry, to whom he wrote "ce qu'on admire en vous, c'est ce qui est tout vôtre", to Duke Emmanuel-Philibert of Savoy.
The title bears the mulberry tree mark of Fédéric Morel (Silvestre, no. 830).
The last leaf contains a French sonnet and a Latin distich by the Ghent poet Charles Utenhove (1536-1600) and, on the verso, an extract from the royal privilege granted to Morel for this Epithalame, et autres œuvres poëtiques by Joachim Du Bellay on 3 March 1557.
A very fine copy, with wide margins (21 x 15.5 cm), washed and finely drawn up by Marcel Godillot.
