Oblong folio, publisher's half-chagrin binding, percaline boards decorated in cold, gilt cross, gilt title and publisher's name gilt on first board, fine gilt roulette on spandrels, gilt edges. A rare and superb album of 25 large-format (18 x 25 cm) watercolour and gouache lithographs. They are remarkably fresh. The plates have been trimmed and mounted on blank sheets. They bear the titles and numbers I to XXV in ink. An exceptional copy in which the views have been coloured by the artist; although only plates 2, 4, 6, 7 and 14 are signed (signature or initials), all have identical colour quality and are in perfect condition.
