Pre-revolutionary call number and illegible stamp on title page. The book describes and illustrates Kazan's architectural monuments from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Piotr Maksimilianovitch Dulski (1879-1956) was a teacher, art historian, museum professional, publisher and artist, as well as a specialist in the history of books and the art of books, and a bibliophile. He was one of the founders of the Bibliographical Circle of Friends of Kazan Books and co-publisher of its magazine Kazanskiy bibliofil. On his initiative and under his direction, the first Soviet periodical devoted to museum studies, Kazanskiy muzeynyy vestnik, was published.
