DUNAYEVSKY ISAAK (1900-1955) Handwritten letter to Valeria Alexandrovna (?). Undated. 2 pp. 16.5x11 cm. Paper, ink. The letter discusses preparations for the concerts in Voronezh, the date on which they are due to begin and the need to start rehearsals as soon as possible. It also mentions Georgy Andreevich Abramov (1903-1966), a Soviet singer and honoured artist of the RSFSR. It probably refers to a series of concerts that took place in Voronezh in December 1938 and in which G.A. Abramov also took part. Isaak Osipovich Dunayevsky (1900 -1955) - famous Soviet composer and conductor of the 1930s and 1940s, who composed music for operettas and film comedies, frequently collaborating with director Grigori Aleksandrov.
