DURUY Victor Set of 7 volumes of "History of the Romans" and 3 volumes of "History of the Greeks". Note: Under the July monarchy, Victor DURUY wrote a number of geography (Chamerot) and history (Hachette) textbooks for secondary schools. He also made a name for himself among the general public with his high-level works of popular history. The first of these, Histoire des Romains, published in 1843-1844, attracted the attention of the minister Salvandy and earned him the Légion d'honneur.
