EARLY BYZANTINE BRONZE CENSER Ca. AD 400 - 600. A suspended bronze censer composed of a hemispherical incense bowl with vertical fluting encircling the body. Three small perforations near the rim accommodate looped attachments, from which rise elongated tubular extensions forming the initial segments of the suspension chains.
