EARLY GREEK / WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE SPEARHEAD WITH SNAKE Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze spearhead with a narrow tapering blade that terminates in a sharp point. The central ridge is formed as a sinuous line that runs the full length of the blade, imitating the form of a snake. The socket is cylindrical and broad, transitioning into a square-sectioned tang with a rounded terminal. Size: 450mm x 40mm; Weight: 520g Provenance: Private London collection; Ex. J. Mikas collection, Paris 1960s-1970s.
