EARLY GREEK / WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE SWORD. Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze sword with a tapering blade featuring a raised central rib running along its entire length. The blade is attached to a separately cast hilt with a crescent-shaped guard. The grip is segmented by a series of raised ridges, ending in a curved pommel. A similar example sold for £10,200 at Bonhams, Antiquities, 7 July 2022, Lot 76.
